Who we are
NammaScan is run by Sureeth Kumar from Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Sureeth owns Social Backpackers Hostel in Chennai and builds NammaStay, software that small hostels and homestays use to manage their guests and bookings.
Running a hostel showed us how much the same bed can cost on different booking sites. NammaScan puts those prices side by side so guests don't have to open six tabs.
What NammaScan does
- Compares prices for the same stay across booking platforms such as Agoda, Hostelworld, MakeMyTrip, goSTOPS, Zostel and Booking.com.
- Shows every price per bed per night, so a dorm bed and a private room can be compared fairly.
- Sends you to the partner site to book. We don't take bookings or payments ourselves.
Budget stays only
We focus on backpacker hostels, budget hotels and homestays, not luxury resorts. We're starting with Chennai, Pondicherry, Kodaikanal and Mahabalipuram and will add more of South India over time.
How we're funded
NammaScan is free to use. We may earn a commission from some partners when you book through our links, at no extra cost to you. Read our affiliate disclosure and how it works for the details.
